The Agrarian Sharing Network (ASN) is a decentralized, collaborative network, focused on distributing plant diversity to friends and neighbors and creating a shareable reproducible model for others to implement.
It’s as much about the plants as it is about the people.

Join us at the Springfield Propagation Fair
on Saturday, April 4

For a FREE Scion Swap and Seed Exchange Event

From 11am - 3pm at the
Willamalane Adult Activity Center, 215 W C St, Springfield, OR 97477

Every year, the Agrarian Sharing Network hosts a number of Scion and Seed Swaps that are open to the public and free (though donations are appreciated).

  • Freely exchange seed, plants, root divisions, cuttings and starts
  • Get 200+ varieties of free scion (cuttings of known cultivars like 'Anjou' Pear or 'GoldRush' Apple)
  • Get rootstock, and grafting done (for a small donation)
  • Feel free to come completely empty-handed, too!
  • All are welcome!

Additional donations are appreciated!

Seed Swap:

Each fair is sectioned off to offer a diverse variety of seeds. Take only what you need and leave enough for others.

ASN offers high quality seed of known varieties. If you have seeds to share, please label them with type/variety and prepackage them if possible.

Scion & Cuttings Share:

A bunch of tables will be setup with tons of different varieties of apple, plums, peach, cherry, pear, berries, fig, grape, & more.

Everyone is welcome to take a single scion of each variety, but again, please take only what you need and leave enough for everyone else.

ASN is seeking cuttings of named varieties from prolific, healthy, un-sprayed, and organic sources. Please reach out to us with any questions.

Rootstock & Grafting:

Each fair offers an assortment of different rootstock for grafting pear, apple, quince, plum, cherry, etc. Each rootstock generally costs $5 and you are limited in the amount you can purchase. Experienced grafters are generally available to graft them for you at the fair for an additional small donation.

Some garden starts and year old potted plants & grafted trees are also available for a donation.

Sharing Your Own:

Please arrive early if you have anything to share. Please note that we may already have adequate scion or seeds of the variety you are able to share. The prefered method of sharing is to coordinate with ASN mid winter each year (visit our facebook group) so that ASN can sort and distribute your propagation material to all the fairs.

Volunteer:

ASN is 100% volunteer run, so please help us out if and when you can! Setup usually begins 2 hours before each event and it usually takes 1 hour to breakdown afterwards.

We have different scion cutting and sorting work parties during the winter and few gatherings throughout the rest of the year.

Please join our facebook group as most of our organizing is run through there: facebook.com/groups/agrariansharingnetwork/
