NEW LOCATION: The Propagation Fair this year will be at the Whitaker School, 21 North Grand Street, Eugene. It is easily accessible by bike via the south bank bike path, or by bus route 51.

The Spring Propagation Fair is a free event, open to the public, and is designed to support home orchardists, vegetable gardeners and native plant enthusiasts in and around the Southern Willamette Valley.

Come create a Custom Fruit Tree!  Hundreds of varieties of scions (fruit-tree cuttings) are shared by local fruit enthusiasts at the Fair. Rootstocks and grafting assistance are available for a nominal fee.  We focus on an array of fruit varieties that have proven adaptability in growing region, and have unique characteristics for culinary use, storage, disease resistance etc. We charge a nominal $3 fee for fruit tree rootstock to cover our costs, and should you want a tree grafted, your first graft is free, with a suggested donation for each following graft a mere $2.

Vegetable, Herb, Flower Seed and Plant Swap!  Seeds grown and saved from our bioregion are shared freely at the Fair as well as divisions of other food crops including berries, perennial edible plants, etc. Don’t forget to bring masking tape and sharpies to label your seed and scion selections.

We encourage attendees to bring labeled cuttings of fruit trees and/or divisions of berries to share freely with others at the Fair, as well as fresh seed, plants and divisions of all types of food crops and native plants.

You do not need to bring anything to participate!

Free Educational Workshops!  Check out our workshops on both Saturday and Sunday.  Ask questions of experienced local gardeners and some of our bioregion’s foremost gardening educational non-profits.
